TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 26, 2018 — General Atomics’ Guardian remotely piloted aircraft has undergone its first large-scale demonstration aimed at showcasing the platform’s civil and scientific applications, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
The company said Thursday the activity, which was held in Iki Island, Japan, allowed Guardian to validate its capability to support humanitarian, disaster response, environmental monitoring and maritime patrol missions; demonstrate a General Atomics-built detect-and-avoid system; as well as test the SeaVue Radar‘s automatic identification function.
