AWS’ Jennifer Chronis: Cloud to Drive Federal IT Modernization

Jennifer Chronis

TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 20, 2018 — Jennifer Chronis, general manager for Defense Department programs at Amazon Web Services, has said federal agencies working to modernize their information technology infrastructure will benefit from the cloud due to its agility, capacity for collaboration and experimentation as well as security and operational assurance.

She told ExecutiveBiz in an interview published June 13 that AWS cloud platforms address a range of requirements for government workloads according to DoD data classification, which she said serves to enable DoD users to experience cloud capabilities while simplifying training for IT personnel.
