A.T. Smith, a 29-year U.S. Secret Service veteran, has joined Falls Church, Va.-based Torres Advanced Enterprise Solutions as senior security adviser.

Smith will advise the company on cyber, physical and executive protective security matters as part of the global security advisory team in support of clients across the departments of Defense, State, European Union embassies, allied governments and humanitarian aid organizations, Torres said Friday.

He will also offer guidance to help the information technology and cybersecurity consulting firm build up its security programs and develop new partnerships with clients.

His career in the Secret Service included such roles as deputy director, assistant director for the agency’s office of investigations, executive assistant to the director and assistant to the special agent responsible for the presidential protective division.
