Lockheed Martin Unveils New Florida Facility for F-35 Parts Production


TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 2, 2018 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has unveiled a new facility in Pinellas Park, Florida, that will house production of canopies and bulkheads for F-35 fighter aircraft, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The company said Monday the facility adds 65,500 square feet of manufacturing and office space to the site and is expected to support assembly of more than 200 components for the F-35 program in 2018.

The Lockheed Pinellas Park expansion is also anticipated to create 80 new jobs by mid-2019.
