General Atomics Holds Demonstration of Guardian RPA in Japan

TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 16, 2018 — General Atomics’ aeronautical systems business has begun the three-week public demonstration of its Guardian remotely piloted aircraft in Nagasaki, Japan, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The company said Monday the demonstration of the Guardian RPA, which is designed to gather data to help develop guidelines for RPA flights, involves 10 five-hour test flights at Iki Airport.

General Atomics added the data collected by the aircraft will support studies on meteorological and oceanic events and disasters as well as explorations for aviation, communications and industries.
