Lockheed Secures $211M Navy Contract for F-35 Common System Pre-Modernization Efforts


Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has secured a $211.3 million contract from the U.S. Navy to conduct pre-modernization work on F-35 Block 4.1 common systems.

Efforts under the contract will be part of the F-35 preliminary design review for the U.S. Air Force and international partners, the Defense Department said Monday.

The Naval Air Systems Command will obligate $45 million at the time of award from USAF’s fiscal 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds along with international partnership funds.

Lockheed’s aerospace business will perform contract work in Fort Worth, Texas, through July 2019.
