David West Named ECS Corporate Development VP; George Wilson Comments

David West

David West, a federal strategy and merger and acquisition practitioner, joined information technology and engineering services contractor ECS on April 2 to serve as vice president of corporate development.

West oversees the development and implementation of the firm’s growth strategies in his new role, ECS said Tuesday.

“Dave brings a keen eye for strategy and invaluable M&A expertise to this position,” said George Wilson, ECS president and a 2018 Wash100 recipient.

West said he is excited to join the company in support of government clients’ national security and mission requirements.

He previously led the M&A practice at federal consulting firm Wolf Den Associates and held principal investing positions at Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS).

He was a founding staff member of the Department of Homeland Security, where he served as an adviser to then-secretaries Tom Ridge and Michael Chertoff.

ECS now operates as a separate business segment of ASGN (NYSE: ASGN), formerly On Assignment, after the latter completed its $775 million acquisition of ECS early this month.
