BWXT Secures $151M Contract Options to Produce Nuclear Fuel for US Aircraft Carriers, Submarines


A BWX Technologies (NYSE: BWXT) subsidiary has secured contract options worth more than $151 million to manufacture fuel for U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and submarines.

BWTX Nuclear Fuel Services will also support decommissioning efforts under the U.S. Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, the company said Tuesday.

NNPP also exercised $492 million in contract options with BWXT’s nuclear operations group to produce reactor components.

The company booked the awards during the fourth quarter of 2017.
