Lockheed Martin Tapped for US-Oman FMS Deal on F-16 Software Updates


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 9, 2018 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been named as the prime contractor on a potential $62 million foreign military sale of incremental software updates for Oman’s F-16 aircraft, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Friday the State Department cleared Oman’s request to purchase Operational Flight Profile software updates, Identification Friend or Foe and communications equipment for Mode 5 operations as well as encryptors, transponders and other non-military defense equipment for 23 F-16s.
