General Dynamics Unit Previews 2,000+ New Jobs in Connecticut, Rhode Island


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 24, 2018 — A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) subsidiary is set to hire 2,200 more workers this year for its submarine engineering, design, operations and fabrication operations in Connecticut and Rhode Island, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The Day reported Monday that General Dynamics Electric Boat President Jeffrey Geiger said at an event the company plans to add 500 jobs in operations, 500 in engineering and design as well as 200 support staff in Groton, while Quonset Point could see 1,000 new positions.
