BAE Systems Delivers UK Offshore Patrol Vessel Ahead of Commissioning

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 31, 2018 — BAE Systems has delivered the River-class HMS Forth offshore patrol vessel to the U.K. defense ministry in preparation for its commissioning into naval service later this year, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The company said Thursday U.K. Defense Procurement Minister Guto Bebb formally accepted HMS Forth, which will temporarily be docked in Glasgow, Scotland, for additional work before the commissioning at Portsmouth Naval Base.
