Lockheed-Northrop JV to Refurbish UK Fire Control Radar Assemblies Under $103M Army FMS Contract

A joint venture of Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) will refurbish fire control radars of the U.K. under a potential $103.1 million foreign military sales contract from the U.S. Army.

Longbow will work with the International Apache Attack Helicopter Project Office at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama through U.K.’s Fire Control Radar Mast Mounted Assembly Refurbishment program, the Defense Department said Thursday.

DoD noted the obligated amount of $45.9 million at the time of award is from fiscal 2010 FMS funds and the department expects Longbow to complete work July 31, 2023.

The Army Contracting Command solicited and received one bid for the contract.
