Orbital ATK Records Delivery of 100,000th Hellfire Propulsion Motor; Mike Kahn Comments

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 1, 2017 — Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) has marked the delivery of the 100,000th propulsion motor for the AGM-114 Hellfire air-to-surface missile in a ceremony held early October at the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory in West Virginia, ExecutiveBiz reported Oct. 25.

The company said Oct. 25 the tactical motor is currently in use on aircraft, land combat vehicles and warships with the U.S. military and 16 allied countries.

Mike Kahn, president of Orbital ATK’s defense systems group, noted that the company’s efforts to develop tactical propulsion and controls for military customers are targeted to help establish readiness and overmatch.
