General Electric (NYSE: GE) has been awarded an $84.1 million contract for overhaul and modernization of engines for two kinds of U.S. Army helicopter platform.

The company will update T700 series engines for the service branch’s Black Hawk attack helicopters and Apache utility helicopters under the contract, the Defense Department said Friday.

The Army Contracting Command received one bid for the firm-fixed-price contract via an online-based solicitation.

Work is expected to be completed by Nov. 2, 2020, with funds and performance sites to be determined per order.
