Boeing, MDA Load 44th Interceptor Onto Missile Defense System Silo in Alaska


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 10, 2017 — Boeing (NYSE: BA) has collaborated with the Missile Defense Agency to load the 44th interceptor onto the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense system located at Fort Greely in Alaska, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Tuesday the installation marks the completion of a Defense Department goal to increase the interceptor inventory to 44 by the end of 2017 in efforts to bolster the U.S. missile defense posture.
