The Executive Mosaic GovCon Index (GCI) continued its fourth consecutive day of gains, up 0.97 percent, setting another record mark of 108.723 with advancing shares slightly outpacing declining 18 to 12.
The markets continued their positive direction, once again reaching new record highs. The S&P500 closed with its seventh consecutive day of gains, up 0.12 percent to 2,537.74, while the DJIA posted its sixth day of gains, closing at 22,661.64 up 0.09 percent, and the NASDAQ Composite with seven days of consecutive advancement ended up a slight 0.04 percent to close at 6,534.63.
WTI crude oil on the NY Mercantile Exchange spent most of the day in the negative to close below the $50 per barrel mark. WTI was down 1.07 percent to $49.88 per barrel as government reports showed record U.S. exports, fueling concerns about global over-supply.
