HII Hosts Christening of Navy’s USS Tripoli Amphibious Assault Ship

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Sept. 19, 2017 — Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) and the U.S. Navy have held the christening ceremony for the USS Tripoli America-class multi-purpose amphibious assault ship in Mississippi, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The company said Saturday Lynne Mabus, wife of former Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, served as the ship sponsor while Navy Undersecretary Thomas Dee delivered the keynote address during the ceremony with approximately 2,000 guests.
