The Executive Mosaic GovCon Index (GCI) continued to climb for the third consecutive day, closing at 101.305 up 0.958 percent. Engility Holdings topped the GCI delivering greater than 3.00 percent growth, while Cubic Corporation, ICF, CAE, KBR, and BAE Systems all posted greater than 2.00 percent positive change on the day. Advancing shares outpaced declining 3 to 1.
The major indices all closed up for the fourth day. The S&P500 moved ahead by 0.46 percent to 2,457.59, while DJIA gained 0.12 percent to  21,892.43, and the NASDAQ Composite was up 1.05 percent to close at 6,368.31. Markets responded positively to data indicating the U.S. economy is on solid ground.
Crude oil continued to drop further today as the Texas Gulf Coast refiners begin to recover from Hurricane Harvey. WTI on the NY Mercantile Exchange ended the day negative 1.01 percent to $45.97 per barrel, hitting a thirty day low.
