TYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 18, 2017 — American Systems will pursue work to provide aviation training services to the Security Assistance Training Management Organization within the U.S. Army through its position on a previously awarded $250 million contract, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Monday it will support SATMO’s security assistance programs by facilitating basic flight crew, technical flight, operational planning and maintenance technical skills training at locations such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey and South Korea.

Peter Smith, president and CEO of American Systems and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2017, said the company aims to help the Army strengthen the warfighting capabilities of foreign allies.
