TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 10, 2017 — Space Systems Loral will build low-Earth orbit satellites for DigitalGlobe‘s (NYSE: DGI) future WorldView Legion constellation that seeks to provide Earth imaging data and geospatial intelligence, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

SSL said Thursday it will manufacture the WorldView Legion satellites at its facility in Palo Alto, California, as part of a contract that aims to replace DigitalGlobe’s WorldView-1, WorldView-2 and GeoEye-1 satellites.

Richard White, president of SSL’s government systems business, said the contract serves to continue the company’s work to provide analytics services and end-to-end support for the ground and space segments.
