Raytheon to Deliver ‘Identification Friend or Foe’ Cryptographic Applique to Air Force

TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 13, 2017 — Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) will supply the cryptographic applique for the Identification Friend or Foe systems used by the U.S. Air Force and multiple foreign military customers under a $42.8 million contract, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The Defense Department said Friday the company’s space and airborne systems business will provide the KIV-77 Mode 4/5 applique as well as associated spare parts, data and remote form factor through the sole-source, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award.
