Barbara Boland Joins Executive Mosaic as Senior Editor

TYSONS CORNER, VA, MAY 15, 2017 -Executive Mosaic has added Barbara Boland, former Communications Director and Spokeswoman for Congressman Dave Brat (VA), to its media team as a Senior Editor. In this role, Ms. Boland will be responsible for creating original content for all Executive Mosaic media properties, conducting Executive Spotlight interviews, editing articles and working with editorial staff to enhance coverage of the federal marketplace.

Ms. Boland is a published author and has over four years’ experience as a professional journalist, holding positions at Alexandria Post-Gazette, CNS News and the Washington Examiner. While at CNS News, Ms. Boland broke the publication’s first-ever viral story, with over 5 million unique visitors over a single weekend. She also had a second viral hit while at CNS News that surpassed the first, with over 8.7 million visitors in 36 hours.

In 2002, Ms. Boland published “Patton Uncovered”, a history of the conflicts both on and off the battlefield that General George S. Patton had to overcome. “Patton Uncovered” details the full breadth of General Patton’s campaigns from Sicily to Berlin, his command of the Third Army, and his removal from command of the Third Army.

While serving as Communications Director and Spokeswoman for Rep. Dave Brat (VA), Ms. Boland was responsible for arranging all interviews with national and district media, maintaining Congressman Brat’s media presence, assisting in writing op-eds on policy and political issues, working with Congressman Brat to prepare for interviews, and helping with preparing speeches.
