Air Force Taps L3 to Potentially Choose New Electronic Attack Aircraft

TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 11, 2017 — L3 Technologies (NYSE: LLL) has been named by the U.S. Air Force as a potential decision-maker in the service branch’s effort to replace its current fleet of EC-130H Compass Call electronic attack aircraft, ExecutiveGov reported Wednesday.

Defense One reported Tuesday that Lt. Gen. Arnold Bunch, the military deputy for acquisition at the Air Force, has said the service branch plans to have L3 select the new aircraft as the company itself will perform the transfer and reinstallation of the BAE Systems-built electronic packages as the systems integrator on the replacement program.
