Air Force Cyber Vet Christopher McDaniels Joins Mosaic451 as CISO

Christopher McDaniels, a 14-year U.S. Air Force cybersecurity veteran, has joined Phoenix, Arizona-based information security and consulting services provider Mosaic451 as chief information security officer.

McDaniels will oversee the development of a cybersecurity initiative and standard operating procedures backed by a training program to facilitate the company’s operations, Mosaic451 said Tuesday.

Mike Baker, managing director of Mosaic451, said McDaniels will assist the company to deliver cybersecurity support services to clients.

Prior to Mosaic451, he previously served as head of adversary cyber integration and chief of training at the Air Force.

McDaniels also served within the service branch’s computer emergency response team as chief of standardization and evaluation and commander of intrusion prevention and response flight.

He spent three years as deputy chief of operations flight within the service’s 52d communications squadron.

McDaniels currently serves as a principal cybersecurity consultant for Las Vegas, Nevada-based CT Cubed.
