TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 17, 2017 — Parsons has secured certification under the Defense Department‘s Advanced Geophysical Classification Accreditation Program for its geophysical classification quality and technical management platforms, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Tuesday the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation assessed the advanced geophysical classification systems that work to distinguish potentially hazardous munitions from non-hazardous scrap metal among subsurface geophysical anomalies.

Carey Smith, federal business unit president and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2017, noted that Parsons is the first company to achieve DAGCAP accreditation.
