Microsoft Gets FedRAMP High ATO for Azure Gov’t Cloud Deployment at VA


TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 17, 2017 — Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) has received authorization to operate its Azure Government cloud platform to support sensitive workloads at the Department of Veterans Affairs through the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

The company said in a blog post published Wednesday the FedRAMP High ATO works to validate the security and compliance of Azure Government to handle sensitive data such as personally identifiable information and protected health information as well as VA networks.
