Executive Mosaic, Tysons Corner, VA March 23, 2017 — Dave Wajsgras, president of Raytheon‘s intelligence, information and services business segment, has been inducted into this year’s Executive Mosaic Wash100 for his leadership in cyber defense and talent development.

The Wash100 is the premier group of private and public sector executives selected by Executive Mosaic’s organizational and editorial leadership as the most influential voices in the GovCon sector and recognized for their leadership and impact in shaping the industry.

Wajsgras, who assumed his current role as head of IIS in March 2015, has said earlier this year Raytheon is looking to expand its cybersecurity portfolio in the critical infrastructure market.

The company recently formed a strategic alliance with Utilidata that works to combine Raytheon technologies in cyber threat hunting, managed security and automation services with Utilidata’s background in cyber attack detection and response.

Raytheon has also been pushing for increased development of cyber talent in line with a study it sponsored with the National Cyber Security Alliance that pointed to the need for more cyber professionals and new cybersecurity technologies.

“As cyber becomes even more tightly woven into the fabric of our national security, the rising demand for cyber talent will continue to outpace the growth of our cyber workforce, leaving a gap that must be filled,” Wajsgras wrote in an article published November 2016.

“Technology is clearly part of the answer; but continuing to focus on skilled talent is vital,” he said.

When introducing this year’s Wash100, Executive Mosaic President and Founder Jim Garrettson said, “We are pleased to honor this year’s recipients. These individuals are recognized by their peers and Executive Mosaic for their outstanding achievements in the GovCon marketplace.”

“The GovCon market is well positioned for an exciting year of growth and prosperity in 2017 and these winners, through their leadership and vision, will shape and impact the industry.”
