Raytheon, Air Force Update AMRAAM Signal Processor in Push to Extend Missile Production


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Feb. 2, 2017 — Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) will work with the U.S. Air Force to build an updated signal processor for the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile in effort to extend the weapon’s production beyond 2020, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Tuesday the update is part of the Air Force’s Form Fit Function Refresh program amid a production milestone of 20,000 AMRAAM units.
