HPE Develops Demonstration Chip for Accelerated Optical Computation Process


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 6, 2017 — A unit of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) has unveiled a demonstration chip that will work to accelerate optical computation processes in support of a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency mesoscale technology program, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

IEEE reported Monday Hewlett Packard Labs created the chip based on the Ising machine computation method under the Mesodynamic Architecture program.
