General Dynamics-Built USS Rafael Peralta Concludes Acceptance Trials


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 3, 2017 — The U.S. Navy‘s General Dynamics-built (NYSE: GD) USS Rafael Peralta guided-missile destroyer has finished its two-day acceptance trials off the coast of Maine in an effort to evaluate the ship and its crew, Executive Gov reported Friday.

The Navy said Wednesday its Board of Inspection and Survey led the trials and confirmed the compliance of the ship’s navigation, propulsion, electric and mechanical, damage control, combat and communications systems to the military service’s standards.
