General Atomics to Expand Spain’s Reaper Fleet Under $57M Air Force Order

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 6, 2017 — The U.S. Air Force has awarded a General Atomics‘ business unit a two-year, $56.7 million order to add new units to Spain’s fleet of MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicles, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. will provide MQ-9 aircraft and associated equipment through an existing foreign military sales agreement for the MQ-9 Exportable Block 5 Procurement program, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
