TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 20, 2016 — AT&T (NYSE: T) will provide a high-speed virtual private network to help NASA update the transmission capacity of the Deep Space Network telecommunications system, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

The VPN will work to connect the network’s radio antennas around the world, support bandwidth expansion without the use of hardware updates as well as boost security and data transfer speed, the company said Wednesday.

“This is the latest technology enhancement we have brought to NASA in our more than 20 year relationship, ” said Mike Leff, vice president of AT&T’s global public sector solutions business for civilian agencies.
