Boeing, DISA Collaborate on Confidential Military Communications Device

boeing logoTYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 11, 2016 — The Defense Information Systems Agency and Boeing (NYSE: BA) have collaborated on a mobile device that will work to transmit and receive classified messages for military commanders, ExecutiveBiz said Thursday.

The dual-SIM Boeing Black phone is designed with numerous encryption and a virtual desktop infrastructure in an effort to secure the device for both commercial and military networks,  Defense One reported Nov. 1.

In regards to the release of the phone Lt. Gen. Alan Lynn commented that “We’re just now in the test phase.”
