Helicopter RadarPhysical Optics Corp. has been awarded a potential five-year, $76 million contract by the U.S. Navy to provide data transfer system components for the UH-1Y, AH-1Z, MH-60R, MH-60S and H-53K aircraft platforms.

The Defense Department said Thursday that POC will also deliver Advanced Data Transfer System components to Australia, Denmark and Saudi Arabia through the foreign military sales program.

DoD added the contract also covers test, evaluation, repair and engineering support services and that work will occur in Torrance, California through September 2021.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division will obligate $18.1 million at the time of the award from the Navy’s fiscal 2016 aircraft procurement and FMS funds.

POC’s ADTS is a National Security Agency-certified Type 1 encryption device for rotary and fixed wing platforms that works to load and record data, video and audio as well as feature data transfer devices with 128 GB or 256 GB memory capacities.
