Lockheed Subcontracts General Atomics for Li-ion Batteries on USSOCOM Dry Combat Submersibles


battery-powerTYSONS CORNER, VA, Sept. 26, 2016 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has subcontracted General Atomics‘ electromagnetic systems subsidiary to provide the U.S. Special Operations Command‘s Dry Combat Submersible vehicles with Lithium-ion Fault Tolerant battery systems, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The LiFT battery will work to power DCS propulsion and internal support systems as it transports personnel in dry environments, General Atomics said Thursday.
