Army Orders $82M in Joint Service Aircrew Masks, Flight Equipment From Gentex

Helicopter RadarGentex has received an $82.5 million contract from the U.S. Army to supply aircrew masks, life support system and flight equipment for the Joint Strike Fighter program.

The company will build Joint Service Aircrew Mask systems for the military branch in an effort to protect fighter pilots against chemical and biological threats when they conduct missions, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

The Army will determine the performance locations and funds based on each order and the company is scheduled to complete deliveries by Sept. 2, 2026.

The service branch received one bid for the contract via the Internet.

California-based Gentex manufactures personal protection and situational awareness technologies designed for military, emergency response and industrial personnel who operate in high-performance environments.
