Raytheon, Navy Test SeaRAM Anti-Ship Missile Defense Aboard USS Carney


Raytheon logoTYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 18, 2016 — Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) and the U.S. Navy have completed the first live fire test on the SeaRAM anti-ship defense system aboard the USS Carney guided-missile destroyer, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Wednesday the test held in Spain used a RAM Block II missile to intercept a BQM-74E target, which SeaRAM has detected and tracked prior to engagement.
