Lockheed Ships ‘Space Based Infrared System’ GEO 3 Satellite for Launch Prep

lockheed martinTYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 9, 2016 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has delivered the latest Space Based Infrared System satellite to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in preparation for its launch in October, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The company said Friday the SBIRS GEO Flight 3 satellite will launch aboard a United Launch Alliance-built Atlas V rocket.
