Lockheed Martin Provides Heat Shield for Orion Crew Module

lockheed martinTYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 30, 2016 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has provided the heat shield for the Orion crew module of NASA‘s Exploration Mission-1 and delivered the component to the Kennedy Space Center, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

NASA said Saturday it then transported the heat shield to the Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building in preparation for the mission launch in 2018.
