Ensco to Provide DHS Sensor System for Biothreat Detection


ENSCO IncTYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 29, 2016 — Ensco has received a $4 million contract to provide the Department of Homeland Security an integrated sensor system that works to detect biological and environmental health hazards in buildings, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The company said Thursday the technology will consist of an aerosol detection system with environmental monitoring sensors and other commercial sensors.

Ensco’s work is for phase two of the SenseNet program.
