AT&T Intros IP-Based Connectivity Service for Emergency Mobile Radio Systems


ATT-ImageTYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 17, 2016 — AT&T (NYSE: T) has rolled out an internet protocol-based interoperability service for first responders, public departments and transportation agencies that communicate using land mobile radio systems, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The Inter-RF Subsystem Interface connectivity service is designed to connect LMR network users to AT&T’s Enhanced Push-to-Talk platform and comply with the APCO Project 25 digital radio communications standard for public safety organizations, the company said Monday.
