Navy Awards Boeing $100M Contract Modification to Support Australia P-8A Patrol Aircraft Production

Boeing P-8A PoseidonBoeing (NYSE:BA) has secured a $100.4 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to provide long-lead parts and support services for the production of four Lot 8 P-8A maritime patrol aircraft for Australia.

The Defense Department said Tuesday the contract falls under a cooperative engagement agreement and work is scheduled to occur through June 2017 in Washington, Maryland, New York and the U.K.

The Naval Air Systems Command will obligate the full amount of the modification from cooperative engagement agreement funds.

Boeing-built P-8As work to support broad-area, maritime and littoral operations through the aircraft’s anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.
