American States Utility Services Wins $510M Contract to Maintain Eglin AF Base Water Systems

WastewaterAmerican States Utility Services Inc. has won a 50-year, $510 million contract to operate and maintain the water distribution and wastewater collection systems at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.

The Defense Department said Tuesday the company will perform work in Florida and California through May 31, 2067.

The U.S. Air Force will use its fiscal year 2016 through fiscal 2067 operations and maintenance funds to finance the fixed-price, economic-price-adjustment contract.

Six offers were submitted to the Defense Logistics Agency‘s energy unit for the procurement initiative.

San Dimas, California-based American States Utility Services provides water and wastewater services to military installations across the U.S.
