Richard “Ric” Sears, formerly vice president of technology at IntelliDyne, has been promoted to senior VP for technology and innovation at the Falls Church, Virginia-based consulting firm.

Sears will oversee the integration of IntelliDyne’s advanced analytics platforms with technical services under the company’s enterprise infrastructure management portfolio, IntelliDyne said Monday.

IntelliDyne CEO Tony Crescenzo said Sears’ promotion is part of the company’s push to support strategic expansion efforts.

Sears will continue to lead the IntelliDyne Technical Advisory Council that works to align the company’s technical functions with strategic opportunities and future trends.

Prior to joining IntelliDyne in 2011, he spent nearly four years at the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators as director of software engineering.

The 20-year information technology industry veteran also served as senior director of software engineering at the American Red Cross for seven years.
