Raytheon Lands $119M Contract for Lot 9 Air Force Decoy Jammer Vehicles


Raytheon logoRaytheon (NYSE: RTN) has received a $118.5 million contract to manufacture the ninth batch of miniature air-launched decoy jammer vehicles and support equipment for the U.S. Air Force.

The Defense Department said Wednesday the company’s missile systems business will produce the vehicles in Tucson, Arizona, through June 30, 2020.

MALD is a modular vehicle Raytheon designed to help the U.S. and its allies confuse hostile integrated air defense systems through information sent to enemy airspace.

The Air Force allocated the contract’s full amount from its fiscal year 2016 procurement, operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
