Navy Selects Precision Turbines for Marine Aircraft Logistics Support Contract


U.S. NavyPrecision Turbines has received a $45.8 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide performance-based contractor logistics services for two UC-35C and 10 UC-35D aircraft to support the U.S. Marine Corps.

The Defense Department said Thursday work will occur in Florida, Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, California, West Virginia, Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and overseas in Qatar and Japan through June 2019.

The Naval Air Systems Command will obligate funds on an individual task order basis, DoD added.

This is a small business set-aside contract awarded through an electronic request for proposals with four offers received.

The Cessna-built UC-35 is designed to serve as a low-wing, business jet monoplane for passengers and cargo.
