The U.S. Navy has awarded a potential $73 million contract to Arlington, Virginia-based defense and space company Falconwood to provide program management support to the naval enterprise networks office of the Program Executive Office – Enterprise Information Systems.
The Defense Department said Thursday the Space and Naval Warfare System Command will obligate $16.8 million from fiscal 2016 Navy operations and maintenance funds for the work to be conducted in Washington through June 2018.
The contract covers programmatic, technical, engineering and integrated logistics support for PEO EIS and the NEN program office, DoD noted.
DoD added the contract was awarded through a sole-source acquisition based on Falconwood’s proposal for programmatic, technical and engineering support services.
Falconwood offers information technology professional services including strategic planning and management, system engineering, program management, system security and advanced technology.
