ViON’s Rob Davies: Set Cloud Vendor, Agency Expectations at SLA Contract Negotiations

CloudTYSONS CORNER, VA, May 2, 2016 — Rob Davies, executive vice president of operations at ViON, has said that service-level agreements must specify potential cloud management issues and define both vendor and customer expectations at the outset, Executive Gov reported Thursday.

“[When] you’re in negotiating the contract and those SLAs, it’s important to define what your expectations are — for both parties, ” he said at a panel discussion hosted by Federal News Radio.

CIO reported Wednesday that setting expectations was one of the concerns identified by participating industry and government CIOs at the panel, which focused on the progress of the “cloud first” policy.
