Orbital ATK Readies 2nd Qualification Motor for NASA SLS Booster Test

Orbital ATKTYSONS CORNER, VA, May 11, 2016 — Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) has completed the installation of a second qualification motor for the Space Launch System boosters at a Utah facility ahead of a planned static-fire test on June 28, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The company said Monday the QM-2 motor will be used in a NASA test of the boosters against low temperatures.
