TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 1, 2016 — Roger Krone, chairman and CEO of Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), has said the company aims to further market expansion efforts through its merger with Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) information systems and global solutions business, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

Krone told Forbes in an interview published Wednesday that Leidos will work to diversify its client base in the civil government sector and establish a cultural balance in the future merged company.

“[We] will use this transaction as an opportunity to redefine our swim lanes — not walking away from our current businesses, but maybe adding more verticals, ” said Krone, who is also an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2016.
